Get Stuck In - Theme Volunteer

Do you have an interest in one of our themes and a bit of time most weeks (or most months)?

Theme Volunteers support the work happening within a DSxHE Theme. You’ll join a small group led by Theme Leads, and help move specific activities forward in a way that matches your skills and energy.

This is a great option if you want to contribute to something tangible, build confidence, and learn alongside others.

💬 What you could do

Depending on the Theme’s current priorities, you might:

• Help plan or host events (meetups, panels, workshops, community chats)
• Support written outputs (blog posts, resource lists, summaries, toolkits)
• Help with community engagement (welcoming newcomers, posting in channels, sharing opportunities)
• Light research and sensemaking (finding credible sources, summarising key insights)
• Support partnerships and outreach (speakers, guests, cross community collaboration)
• Help with practical delivery bits (note-taking, project admin, tracking actions)
